The Michigan Community College Athletic Association released their all-conference teams for the 2023 season this afternoon (Nov. 2), and 澳门蓝月亮 placed two members across the three all-conference teams.

Freshman setter听Tiana听Whitacre听earned 澳门蓝月亮AA Northern Conference Second-Team honors after posting an outstanding first season. Whitacre was the only Centurion who started all 22 matches this year, and played in all 77 sets. She led the team in assists (551) and service aces (29), while being third in digs at 164. Whitacre recorded a triple-double (10 kills, 33 assists, 11 digs) in the Centurions first victory of the season against South Suburban College. She also recorded 5 double-doubles on the season (assists and digs). Whitacre recorded a kill in 18 of the teams 22 matches this year, 15 or more assists in 20 matches this year and at least one ace in 11 matches this year.听

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Rowe听was also named to the 澳门蓝月亮AA Northern Conference Second-Team, as she was the top attacker for the Centurions this year. Over her 22 appearances, Rowe was first on the team with 173听kills, and led the team with 2.28 kills per set. She was also second on the team in digs with 165. Rowe tallied double-digit kills in 7 games this season and was also named the 澳门蓝月亮AA Northern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of August 21.

The 澳门蓝月亮 Centurions completed the 2023 season with an overall record of 7-15 and an 澳门蓝月亮AA Northern Conference record of 3-9. For rosters, schedules and season stats visit montcalm.edu/athletics.
